Smile, grow, nourish, inspire, & love
That’s the motto of Tidal Roots Farm. It shines through in their passion for growing beautiful organic food and sharing it with the community. They aim to not only feed the local community with delicious and nourishing organic produce, but also to inspire and improve the presence of agriculture in their small island community.
Sam Brown + Timothy Parsons created Tidal Roots Farm after Hurricane Irma and Maria decimated the lands and impacted the island’s access to fresh and healthy produce.
Farm Fresh Food
Sam and Tim have partnered with the local school to help them build a school garden. They also started a garden club to teach the students how to grow healthy and organic food.
Tidal Roots can also be found at a bi-monthly Farmers & Fisherman’s Market in Crafts Alive Car Park in Road Town on Saturdays. For up to date farmer’s market dates, check them out on Facebook.
Compost Aboard Program
Tidal Roots has created a ‘Compost Aboard’ program for charter boats. This brilliant program allows us to safely dispose of our organic food waste in a sustainable way. We stow all our food waste in a tupperware, and then they pick it up and use our compost to fertilize their crops.
